This work speaks, first of all, about the irresponsibility and indifference
of man towards his fellow
men.
The owner of a bakery, which could very well be ours, continues to bake bread with
contaminated rye flour despite having been alerted by his employees. The people of the
neighborhood consume it and it causes them a strange state of madness. In the middle of this
plot, each character asks themselves what they are responsible for and to what extent,
contributing their vision and acting accordingly. In this way, questions that are a small sample of
today's social behaviors are interwoven. And there is where you can see the stereotypical
behaviors of our Argentine being.
This wonderful story written 50 years ago does not lose its validity. It is
a call not to close our
eyes, not to evade, not to continue constructing our daily lie, because it is this evasion that
constantly leads us to frustration.
