Carlos Gorostiza’s work, premiered in 1958, was presented at the Regio Theater directed by Luciano Suardi and played by Ana María Picchio and Alejandro Awada.
Set on a bakery in the 50s, El pan de la locura deals with irresponsability and indifference to one’s fellows. Although the owner is warned by his employees, he keeps on baking bread with contaminated rye flour. The people in the neighborhood have it and cause them a strange state of madness.
